KARD in Brussels: An Ending, But Not a Goodbye
KARD brought their NOW HERE tour to Brussels for their first-ever concert in Belgium, turning La Madeleine into a celebration of nearly a decade of music, and a reminder that their story may not be over yet.
On September 4, BM, J.Seph, Somin and Jiwoo took the stage at La Madeleine in Brussels, opening the night with some of the songs that first defined KARD: “Oh NaNa,” “Don’t Recall,” “Rumor” and “Hola Hola.”
From there, the set moved across different eras of the group’s career, combining fan favourites such as “RED MOON,” “ICKY” and “Cake” with newer material and individual solo stages.
Live, one of KARD’s biggest strengths becomes immediately clear: the four members have completely different ways of connecting with the audience.
BM brings the energy of someone turning the concert into a party, while Somin carries herself with a more elegant and composed presence. Jiwoo feels effortlessly cool and laid-back, and J.Seph is the group’s natural fanservice expert, constantly throwing hearts, winks and small interactions towards the crowd.
Those differences are part of what makes KARD work so well on stage. They never feel like four people trying to project the same personality, instead, each member brings something distinct to the group.
The Brussels concert also arrived at a particularly important moment for KARD. Following the end of their current chapter with DSP Media, questions naturally remain about what comes next for the group.
During the show, however, BM reassured fans that they would see KARD together again, even if it might take some time.
So while NOW HERE may mark the end of one era, Brussels did not feel like a final goodbye.
