From June 19 to 23, Milano Moda Uomo SS27 brings the Spring/Summer 2027 collections to the city.

Seventy-five appointments across five days: 16 physical shows, 44 presentations, 6 digital slots, 7 events spread across the city. The Italian pillars are all there, as expected. Prada, Giorgio Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Brunello Cucinelli, Etro, Kiton, Brioni.

But the reason this edition is worth paying attention to sits elsewhere.

Shinyakozuka: the name we are watching

If there is one presence we are genuinely following at CZMOS, it is Shinyakozuka. On June 22, the brand shows at Corso Venezia 36, its first runway appearance on the official Milan Fashion Week calendar.

Shinya Kozuka was born in Osaka and is based in Tokyo. He founded the brand in 2015 after graduating from Central Saint Martins. He already showed at Pitti Uomo in January 2026, where he presented a collection built around the silence of the Japanese winter landscape.

His method starts from a specific premise: the space between the body and the garment, the part that usually goes unseen, is the actual material of design. Form, proportion, hand-finishing. Collaborations with Japanese brands including Kijima Takayuki, Nanga, Tsuchiya Kaban.

A Japanese designer entering the European system without losing his language in the process. No translation compromise. That is why he matters to us.

Thom Browne chooses Milan

The most talked-about move this season is Thom Browne joining the official calendar, showing on June 22 for the first time in Milan. The American designer brings to the city a tailoring practice that has always been theater as much as clothing: constructed, conceptual, impossible to ignore. His name is not new, but his decision to shift from the New York circuit to Milan says something about the current state of the system. Milan is increasingly read as a global strategic platform, with a direct line to European luxury infrastructure that New York, right now, does not offer to the same degree.

On the same day, June 22, Giorgio Armani presents for the first time with Leo Dell'Orco and Silvana Armani at the creative helm together. An appointment worth noting for what it marks, more than for what it will show.

The next generation at Fondazione Sozzani

As in every edition, Fondazione Sozzani returns as one of the most generative spaces of the week, hosting shows and presentations dedicated to emerging designers.

Names on the calendar include Domenico Orefice, Simon Cracker, Martin Quad. And Pronounce, which marks its tenth anniversary this edition.

Pronounce was founded in 2016 by two Chinese designers trained at the Royal College of Art. Ten years between London and Milan, with a visual identity that has never looked for the easy compromise. A decade is a valid moment to ask what it means to build a brand from a different cultural position inside a European system.

The context: a fashion week moving against the current

This edition arrives during a difficult period for Italian fashion. Industry forecasts point to a revenue decline for 2026, following a contraction already recorded in 2025.

Yet the calendar expands, brings new names, opens toward international scenes. Whether that is a response to the crisis or simply happens despite it, the signal is the same: the fashion week keeps moving, even when the market slows down.
