Today March 12, Lamante releases “Ritorneremo a guardare il cielo”, a new single distributed by Artist First and the second chapter of her upcoming artistic project following “Un canto nuovo”, released earlier this year.
With Lamante Ritorneremo a guardare il cielo, the Italian singer-songwriter continues the narrative path started with her debut album “In memoria di”, a record that in 2024 brought her to the finals of the Targa Tenco awards in the Best Debut category, while also receiving recognition from Rockit as the best Italian album of the year and winning the Emerging Artist award at the Rockol Awards.
The song was inspired by a deeply personal image: a photograph taken by the artist’s parents shortly after discovering they were expecting her. From that moment, Lamante developed a song reflecting on love, memory and emotional distance.
Lamante Ritorneremo a guardare il cielo features an arrangement performed by the Turin String Quartet, directed by Stefano Nanni. Like the other songs from the upcoming project, the track was recorded inside the consecrated church of San Francesco in Schio (Italy) and produced together with Taketo Gohara, a prominent figure in Italian music production.
In Lamante’s imagined story, two astronauts orbit the Earth while watching the world from afar. Every day they witness sixteen sunrises and sixteen sunsets, suspended in a dimension where time feels slower. Their love exists in isolation from the world — but a question remains: what happens when they return to Earth?
Through this poetic metaphor, Lamante Ritorneremo a guardare il cielo becomes a reflection on the fragility of love and the fear of exposing it to the reality outside.
The release follows an intense year of live performances. Over the past months, the artist played more than 50 concerts across Italy, including being selected by Coez as the opening act for his arena tour.
Lamante will also appear among the first announced artists of MI AMI Festival 2026, taking place from May 21 to May 23 at Idroscalo in Milan.
With “Ritorneremo a guardare il cielo”, Lamante continues to build a musical universe shaped by memory, emotional tension and visual storytelling, anticipating the next chapter of her upcoming project.
